Privacy policy
Week in Print is a shared family magazine workspace operated by Brian McDonald. This page explains the information used to run it.
Sign-in information
Clerk provides account and session management. When you sign in with Google, Google shares basic profile information, such as your name, email address and profile photo, with Clerk. Email sign-in uses the email address you provide. Authentication cookies keep your session signed in.
Week in Print uses your Clerk account identifier to check access and record who approved an edition or created an issue. Google sign-in requests basic identity information; it does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts or calendars.
Magazine data
The app stores team choices, schedule and review settings, source reporting and photos, edited stories, issue PDFs, and job status or error information. Everyone who signs in can access the shared issues and change the shared settings. This is one shared workspace, not a separate private library for each account.
Services used to run the app
- Clerk manages authentication and account information.
- Render hosts the website, database and background jobs.
- Cloudflare R2 stores reporting, photographs and generated files.
- OpenAI processes source reporting and photographs to prepare stories and assess images. The app does not include your Google profile or email in those editorial requests.
These services may process technical request and security information under their own policies. Week in Print does not include advertising or analytics integrations and does not sell Google account information or use it for advertising.
Retention and your choices
Saved settings, review history and issues remain available in the workspace; this version does not automatically delete them on a schedule. Disconnecting Google access does not itself remove your Week in Print account or previously saved issues.
For questions, corrections, or account and data deletion requests, contact Brian at thebriancmcdonald@gmail.com. Provider logs and backups are subject to the providers’ own retention practices.
